Our specialist primary care team helped Farndon Village Surgery with their rent review process. We undertook a free initial assessment of their lease and rent review trigger notice (received from their landlord) followed by a detailed survey and inspection of the surgery before entering negotiations with their landlord’s appointed representative to ensure the proposed rent was in line with the current market levels.
We then entered discussions with the District Valuer (appointed by the NHS), submitted extensive representations in support of the proposed rental level, and ultimately successfully negotiated an increase in reimbursement in line with the provisional agreement we had previously reached with the landlord and their appointed representative.
We managed the whole process from start to finish meaning the Farndon Village Surgery could continue with their day to day running of their practice and ensured the practice as tenants were not left with a shortfall in funding between NHS reimbursement and the actual rent payable under the Lease. The practice are fully reimbursed for their lease rent plus an allowance to contribute toward their repairing and insuring obligations under the lease.
Trevor Ferrigno, Practice Manager at Farndon Village Surgery was delighted with the service we provided;
“Yet another successful piece of work from Will and Ben. 6 years backdated underpayment from NHSE on our self-repairing lease adjustment is a welcome addition to the practices bank account. I can highly recommend”
