BW Healthcare Surveyors see a large increase in completed notional rent challenges during lockdown!

We are seeing a real push by District Valuers (NHS Surveyors) to clear all backlogged work including notional rent appeals during the lockdown period – whilst GP surgery inspections by DVs have been temporarily suspended – We are seeing some cases being completed and resolved in a matter of weeks (as opposed to the several months it can normally take).

From our perspective at BWHS we have seen many DVs working incredibly hard during the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing lockdown. ‘Hats-off’ to all the valuers there who are doing a great job in striving to keep systems and processes moving in these very difficult and uncertain times…

Having your notional rent review checked and, if necessary, challenged, can lead to potentially significant enhanced funding for GP’s and so if you have received notification of proposed notional rent reimbursement for your practice recently, we recommend seeking advice on that as soon as possible.
